Erling Haaland never ceases to write the history of English football. The Manchester City scorer struck again this Saturday during the large victory against Burnley (5-1), offering a double and a decisive pass in a typical demonstration of force. This performance allows him to reach a new historical level that makes the first League record books tremble.

Solskjaer dethroned after 25 years

The Norwegian officially becomes the best Scandinavian scorer in the history of the Premier League. With his 92 goals in just 103 games, Haaland exceeds Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his 91 achievements. A record that has been holding the former Manchester United striker who needed 236 games to reach this total for decades for decades. The efficiency of the City player impresses: more than half as many games for one more goal.

This statistic perfectly illustrates the goal machine that has become Haaland since his arrival in England. At 25, he already has an average higher than one goal per game in the league, unheard of at this level of regularity. Its dazzling progression now places it in the 9th row of the best scorers in the history of Manchester City with 133 goals in 153 appearances.

Etihad Stadium under its total grip

The City stadium becomes its favorite hunting ground. With 52 goals in 51 home games, Haaland surpasses Raheem Sterling and leaves only Sergio Agüero in this category. The Argentinian remains untouchable with 106 achievements at Etihad, but at the current rhythm of the Norwegian, this record may not hold very long.

Experts are starting to seriously mention the possibility for Haaland to beat the absolute records of Cristiano Ronaldo and Alan Sheare. As long as you stay in shape, the City cyborg seems to be gone to rewrite all the history of English football history in the years to come.
