Although League 1+ made a substantial financial offer in order to broadcast the 3rd preliminary round of the Champions League of Les Gones (August 4/5 for the first leg, August 11 for the return), the club chaired by Michelle Kang opted for Canal+. In the event of qualification for the play-offs, the encrypted channel – direct competitor of League 1+ – will also broadcast the two home and away matches.
At the same time, PSG chose beIN Sports for its first two friendly matches back. The reigning double European champions will begin their pre-season preparation on August 5 in Mallorca. They will then face Manchester United, three days later, in Gothenburg, Sweden. If League 1+ will therefore not broadcast the first matches of the Paris and Lyon season, the channel could broadcast the friendlies at the start of the season for OM and Monaco. Discussions are underway, even if nothing has been decided yet. The League channel should offer just over 30 pre-season matches from French clubs. It will also broadcast the Champions Trophy between Lens and PSG, on Sunday August 16, live from Stade Bollaert.
