FC Barcelona formalized the arrival of its new sports director on Wednesday.
After announcing the departure of Mateu Alemany at the end of this summer transfer window, FC Barcelona officially named his successor on Wednesday. It is a former home, Deco, who wore the Blaugrana colors between 2004 and 2008. He notably won the Champions League in 2006.

The 45-year-old Portuguese leader, who signed a three-year contract, will be responsible for “the sporting philosophy of the club and the construction of its workforce alongside the coach (Xavi) and the management”explains the press release from Barça.
