After Arsenal’s debacle at Brighton, Manchester City had the opportunity to strike a major blow by taking the lead in the Premier League. At the same time, Liverpool provided the essentials on the Bournemouth pitch (0-1). Long held by Andoni Iraola’s former players, the Reds finally found the opening thanks to Alexander Isak (57th), author of his 4th goal this season in the league, to leave with the three points. A short but valuable victory for Liverpool, who remain in contact with the top of the table and confirm their solidity at the start of the season. Finally, Leeds and Crystal Palace failed to decide between themselves (0-0). Despite several situations on both sides, including a disallowed goal for Tyrick Mitchel (52nd), neither team managed to break the opposing lock.
