This Monday evening will be held the 69th edition of the Ballon d'Or at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris. If the world of football will still have to wait before discovering the identity of the best player of the season according to France Football, some organizations and media have already revealed their own ranking and designated their big winner. This is particularly the case with the football observatory (CIES).
We find of course the big favorites such as OUMEMANE DEMBÉLÉ, VITINHA, Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi, authors of a historic season with Paris Saint-Germain. But still, the Stars of Barça, Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Raphinha of FC Barcelona, or those of Liverpool, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk.

To establish its classification of the 100 best players, the CIES has taken into account several “original metrics”. One of the indicators, called “absolute index”, is calculated from the performance of players in seven different play areas.
According to the analysis, a peloton takes shape, from the 10th to 6th place: Vinicius Jr, Hakimi, Joshua Kimmich, Dembélé and Mohamed Salah. Michael Olise, Van Dijk and Pedri occupy the 5th, 4th and 3rd places. Kylian Mbappé (2nd) visibly ends higher than his compatriot of PSG. And finally, it is Lamine Yamal, the Blaugrana jewel, which wins first place, while Raphinha is satisfied with the 11th position. Even fictitious, these results will not fail to debate.
