Divorce is now acted between Nuno Espírito Santo and Nottingham Forest. While the departure rumors of the Portuguese coach have flown in recent days, the Premier League club has formalized the end of their collaboration on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

Mourinho on the short-list
Appointed in December 2023, Nuno Espirito Santo had provided the maintenance by finishing in 17ᵉ place. Then, in 2024-25, he offered the best classification to the West Bridgford club for 30 years with a 7ᵉ historic place. Forest had notably been one of the few teams capable of bringing Liverpool-future champion-twice: 1-0 success in September 2024 in Anfield, followed by a draw (1-1) at City Ground in January 2025.
Despite these results, the relations between the ex-Coach of Al-Ittihad and its leaders have set themselves up, against the backdrop of delicacies linked to the transfer window. Several names are already circulating to succeed him: José Mourinho and Ange Postcoglou, recently dismissed by Fenerbahçe and Tottenham, but also Oliver Glasner (Crystal Palace), Andoni Iraola (AFC Bournemouth) and Mauricio Pochettino, currently stationed in the United States.
