Neal Maupay knows it, he will not compete in the Champions League League phase with Olympique de Marseille. The French striker, whose future remains uncertain on the Canebière, was not summoned for the meetings against the Stade Rennais (0-1) and Olympique Lyonnais (0-1), and does not appear in the list established by Roberto de Zerbi for the Queen of Europe competition.
While the transfer window closed its doors last Monday, the management of the champion of France remains determined to separate from the native of Versailles. But it could come up against the player's refusal, whose contract runs until June 2028.
A list of four contenders
According to rumors, Maupay arouses the interest of US Sassuolo, Getafe, Pak Salonica and the RSC Anderlecht, all who went to the offensive on his file, without success. It remains to be seen whether the main concerned intends to continue the adventure with the sky and white.
His playing time should however be very limited. The former Everton finds himself at the bottom of the offensive hierarchy, behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Amine Gouiri and Robinio Vaz.
