The work of the new Camp Nou was interrupted on Sunday by the Guardia Urbana (municipal police) in Barcelona, who expelled the workers of the Limak company for non-compliance with the regulations prohibiting the work on Sunday, reports the Cadena Ser. The police have drawn up a report and inflicted a fine of around 300 euros. Barça only has a site authorization valid from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to midnight, as well as Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Despite the recent obtaining of the end -of -work certificate, the Blaugrana club recognizes that it will be difficult to play Camp Nou from September 14 against Valence. The club is still waiting for the green light from local authorities – the town hall, the Guardia Urbana, firefighters, civil protection and insurance companies – to obtain the occupation license. In the meantime, the options envisaged to host the matches are the Johan Cruyff stadium or, from September 21, the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (Montjuïc), which remains for the moment a possible alternative.
