It is not a record but almost. At 15 and 235 days old, Max Dowman made his first League debut this Saturday with Arsenal. Already used by Mikel Arteta in pre-season, the teenager appeared on the lawn of the Emirates Stadium shortly after the time of play against Leeds, instead of Noni Madueke.
He was able to find his elder, Ethan Nwaneri, now 18 years old but launched in the big bath at the age of 15 and 181 days. Dowman thus became behind him the second youngest player in the history of the Premier League. But obviously, that does not scare the Baby Gunner, already full of passion and personality for its entry into play.
