A little more than a month after his surprise elimination in the round of 16 of the Club World Cup against the Fluminense of Thiago Silva (2-0), Inter Milan played its first preseason match against its U23 team, Sunday at the Lombard club training center. Benjamin Pavard and Marcus Thuram were not established by Christian Chivu, the coach enthroned before the World Cup in place of Simone Inzaghi.

Pavard is no longer an indisputable nerazzurri. The 2018 world champion lived an end of the black season, with a sprain in an ankle that made him miss the final sprint in Serie A (for a 2nd place behind Napoli) and only resumed for the catastrophic final of the Champions League against PSG (5-0 defeat). He then did not come into play with the Blues and then resumed the CM of the clubs to relapse from the ankle to the ankle!

Two years after his arrival, Benjamin Pavard is thus one of the transferable players for the rest of the summer transfer window. Even if the 29 -year -old probably has no intention of leaving San Siro residents. He will have to deal with the competition from Yann Aurel Bisseck, the German colossus of the workforce (1.96 m), already much appreciated by Inzaghi during the last financial year.

Bonny in place of Thuram

Marcus Thuram, he has largely demonstrated his complementarity with Lautaro Martinez, the captain star of the Inter, in the last two seasons (15 and 18 goals all competitions), but he has seen competition arriving this summer. The International French Hope Ange-Yoan Bonny, 21, was recruited for 23 million euros from Parma. He started the first friendly match alongside the Argentinian “Toro” to score his team's second goal. Thuram played the second period without scoring. Luis Henrique scored a nice goal for a final score of 7-1. Next match against AS Monaco, next Friday.

Born in Aubervilliers, Bonny, a player with the imposing size (1.89 m), grew up in Tours, where he was spotted by the Berrichonne de Châteauroux. He was launched in Ligue 2 from the age of 17. Once the Castelroussin club has been relegated to National, Bonny did not find a taker in France and, in 2021, joined Parma, who relies on young players. Bonny won in Serie B in 2023-2024 (5 goals and 7 assists), for a rise in the elite and a promising exercise (6 goals and 4 assists). At 21, here he is in the big leagues.
