Newcastle: Sean Longstaff joins Leeds for € 14 million

Leeds United announces the signature of Sean Longstaff from Newcastle. The 27 -year -old midfielder engages with the club for a four -year contract until 2029. Leeds paid an initial amount of 12 million pounds Sterling, to which can be added up to 3 million pounds in bonus, linked in particular to the maintenance of the Premier League club under the direction of Daniel Farke, the Leeds coach.

Trained in Newcastle, Longstaff, who entered the last year of his contract with the Magpies, joined Leeds after 214 games played with Newcastle. The player, who has lost his holder this season, was only 12 times during the 2024-2025 fiscal year. He finally chose to join the newly promoted club in order to benefit from a new challenge and guarantee compensation to his training club rather than go free next summer.
