Harry Kane is reportedly still ‘inclined’ to stay at Tottenham despite Bayern Munich’s breakthrough in signing him.
According Sky Sports, the England international is uncertain about a move to Germany and remains open to the idea of staying at Tottenham for another season. He is in the final year of his contract with the London club and has already refused to extend his contract, meaning he will be free next summer.
By virtue of being a free agent, Kane will have a lot more options available to him next summer. Although there was talk of a deal with Bayern at the start of the transfer window, the striker may now be hesitant to go through with it.
Manchester United have been longtime admirers of the striker, but Tottenham’s €100m valuation was a major stumbling block and they had to focus on other targets, eventually signing Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta for £72million.
Meanwhile, Bayern went after Kane and, after rejecting numerous offers, eventually convinced Tottenham to sell him for over €100m, with earn-outs. They are even ready to draw up a five-year deal for the 30-year-old which would see him stay at the Allianz Arena until 2028.
