For the past few weeks, we have known the new broadcaster of Ligue 1 matches for next season. After the Dazn Fiasco, the Professional Football League decided to launch its own channel named Ligue 1+ to broadcast the meetings of the French championship.
This Wednesday, the LFP presented its new channel at a launch press conference. Nicolas de Travernost, director of LFP Media, first started by explaining the name of this new channel called Ligue 1+: “The choice is very simple. Ligue 1 is a very beautiful brand, it was essential. And the ” +” is a generic term now for all platforms, easy to memorize “.
Regarding the price, the channel will be available from € 14.99 with commitment (€ 19.99 for the non -binding version). A subscription for those under 26 will be offered a little later at a price of € 9.99. The new media will be available on all boxes of the four Internet suppliers, namely Orange, Bouygues, SFR and Free. It can also be viewed on the Dazn streamer. Nicolas Travernost explained that the league was aiming for a ” Hyperdistribution ” of his chain.
What cast on the new LFP channel?
For its new channel, the Professional Football League has retained a quality cast. Marina Lorenzi, Smaïl Bouabdellah, Thibault Le Rol or Xavier Domergue will be present to host the Ligue 1+ programs. They will be accompanied by consultants. For the moment the chain has only communicated the name of Benoît Cheyrou, but discussions would be underway with Samir Nasri or Franck Ribery.
