The summer of Olympique de Marseille is decidedly very lively. On the side of the transfer window, Pablo Longoria and Medhi Benatia are in the oven and in the mill, already multiplying departures and arrivals. The new season's preparation calendar is also at the heart of concerns. Two additional matches were announced on Monday.

At the end of July, the Marseille club had already planned for friendly matches, the first in Andorra against the Spanish club of Girona and the second in Tarragona (Spain) against the Valence FC. Two meetings set respectively on July 26 and 29. To this program, we will now have to add two new dates.

In a message published on its social networks, Olympique de Marseille gave an appointment to its supporters for “Two prestige games at the Vélodrome stadium”. First there will be a duel scheduled for August 2 at 8 p.m., against Seville FC. A week later, the stadium doors will open to the public again for an opposition against Aston Villa (August 9, 7 p.m.), recent quarter of the Champions League, released by Paris Saint-Germain.

A more busy calendar for OM

The Parisian team should also be the opponent that OM should then have faced as part of the Champions Trophy. But due to the overloaded calendar of Luis Enrique's men, currently engaged in the Club World Cup, the Professional Football League announced from last May that the match would be moved around December.

In the meantime, Marseille continues to prepare for its new season, with an upcoming calendar much more loaded than that of last year since the Phocaeans will compete in a Champions League from which they were absent during the last editions.
