PSG will have the right to an XXL shock against Bayern in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup, next Saturday in Atlanta (12 noon in Georgia, 6 p.m. in France, live on Dazn). After the 4-0 European Champions victory against Inter Miami of Lionel Messi, the Munich formation came to the end of Flamengo (4-2), with three French internationals, Dayot Upamecano, Kingsley Coman and Michael Olise.

Bayern made his offensive strength speak in the face of the Brazilian formation, which came to the top of his group in front of Chelsea (thanks to a 2-1 victory against the Blues). The formation of Vincent Kompany quickly led 2-0 thanks to a CSC by Erick Pulgar on a corner of Joshua Kimmich (6th) and a deviated strike from Harry Kane (10th).

Flamengo then maintained the suspense almost to the end. Gerson first reduced the gap. And in what way! The Brazilian midfielder passed through OM sent a missile from the left with the aim of Manuel Neuer (33rd). Leon Goretzka gave air to his team, with a distant strike (41st), but Jorginho transformed his penalty after a hand of Michael Olise (55th).

Kingsley Coman disappointed

While UpameCano is at the origin of the second goal of his team by recovering a very high ball in the opposing camp, Olise and Coman did not shine offensively. Worse, Kingsley Coman came out on injury (58th). The dribbler trained at PSG, the sole goalscorer against the Parisians during the Champions 2020 League final, asked for its replacement and came out on disillusioned terrain. If it is a muscle problem, it is already uncertain for PSG-Bayern.

Ten minutes later, Harry Kane redid the station wagon for Bayern by marking a superbly placed strike (73rd). Leroy Sané and Jamal Musiala were launched during the second period against Flamengo and, with the possible unavailability of Coman and the discreet performance of Serge Gnabry this Sunday, Musiala is likely to reintegrate the Munich departure eleven for this beautiful poster at the Club World Cup against PSG.
