“Horrible”, Haaland's cold anger

The Manchester City season, far from the usual standards, arouses a deep feeling of frustration in his star scorer, Erling Haaland.

The balance of the season leaves a particularly bitter taste for Erling Haaland. Despite his 30 goals in 41 games, the Norwegian striker cannot hide his disappointment in the face of Manchester City results.

The Skyblues have carried out one of their least successful exercises in recent years. Currently fourth at Premier League, the men of Pep Guardiola fight to win their ticket in the Champions League. They also experienced heavy disillusions, first on the European scene with an elimination in the round of 16 C1 by Real Madrid (2-3, 1-3), then at the same stadium against Tottenham (1-2) in the English League Cup.

Haaland's uncompromising analysis

A slight glow of hope remains, however, the final of the England Cup, scheduled for May 17 against Crystal Palace. A possible success could certainly alleviate the taste of unfinished, but without fully satisfying Haaland, visibly marked by the semi -inted season of his team.

“When you won four titles of a row champion, if you do not win the fifth, it will not be a successful season. These are the standards that we have set for each other. We were not good enough in the league, but we still hope to qualify for the Champions League. We were not stable enough … Of course, we had injuries throughout the season. But we must not seek excuses. None of us were good enough, and we were not at our best level. When you are not at your best level, you do not win any games in this country, because it is very difficult ”estimated the Scandinavian giant.

However, the number 9 Citizen refuses to throw everything in the trash. Carrying out this route despite the difficult context remains in his eyes a performance to salute. “It's a good habit of going to Wembley and it is always important to win trophies. We have a FA Cup final to play, and even in a horrible season, we managed to do it ”concluded the native of Leeds.
