The appeal commission rejected on Thursday the appeal of Osasuna contesting the alignment of Iñigo Martínez during the match against FC Barcelona last March, announced Marca. The Navarrais club was based on article 5 of FIFA, which prohibited an injured player who has missed an international rally to replay with his club before five days, unless federal permission. But according to the Commission, this article does not apply in this specific case, because the Spanish Federation had expressly canceled the player's summons.

Already dismissed by the disciplinary committee on April 11, Osasuna once again sees her rejected complaint. The appeal commission specified that there was no legal irregularity concerning the participation of Iñigo Martínez in the match of March 27. The Pamplona club must now decide if it brought the case before the Administrative Sports Tribunal (TAD), while it is currently struggling for a European qualification.
