Already crowned champions of France, Paris Saint-Germain continued their quest for invincibility in the league this Tuesday evening, during a late match of the 29th day disputed on the lawn of FC Nantes. One week before their semi-final go to the Champions League against Arsenal, the men of Luis Enrique, slightly altered for the occasion, had presented themselves with Joao Neves Reconterti Lateral right and Marquinhos back in central hinge alongside Lucas Beraldo. Warren Zaïre-Emery, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz animated the midfield behind an offensive trio composed of Kang-in Lee, Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Opposite, the Canaries, in search of points to ensure their maintenance, had to compose without Anthony Lopes. Patrik Carlgren, preferred to Alban Lafont, kept the goals behind a defense at five articulated around Jean-Charles Castelletto, Nathan Zézé and Nicolas Pallois. In front, Matthis Abline was aligned alongside Moses Simon, relegating Mostafa Mohamed on the bench. From the start of the first act, PSG took control of the ball from the start, installing its game against a Nantes team folded in block in its camp. Quickly, the Parisians obtained a corner on the left side: Mendes found the head of Beraldo, whose attempt, extended by the skull of Ruiz, forced Carlgren to push the fist, before the flag got up to signal an offside position (10th). Nantes replied a few minutes later, when Abline, with a superb sombrero blow in the area, eliminated her opposite before seeing her headache (14th).

Taking advantage of the spaces in transition, the Canaries were again dangerous: served by Simon, lepenant armed a strike near the surface, braked by the Parisian defense, but his teammates managed to recover the ball (16th). Meanwhile, the first real Parisian opportunity was still waiting, while half of the first act was approaching (22nd). With a spontaneous strike, Dembélé attempted his luck near the surface, but Carlgren is quietly grasped from the ball (30th). In the process, the Paris winger, this time offset on the right, armaine again, but his shot flew over the Nantes setting (31st). More inspired a few minutes later, Dembélé found Lee in the surface. The latter slipped the ball into Vitinha, ideally placed on the left. The Portuguese midfielder, a half-volley from the left, left Carlgren no chance and transformed the first true Parisian opportunity (33rd, 0-1). Cozza tried to find Simon from a ball deep on the left side, but his pass, badly adjusted, spun directly in touch (41st). In the process, Kvaratskhelia, launched on the left wing, centra from the surface. At the second post, Neves recovered the ball and sparked a powerful strike in a closed angle, forcing Carlgren to repel in a corner (42nd).

Douglas Augusto, great Nantes hero!

In the second half, Paris continued to circulate the ball, but Nantes, uphill its block and being more aggressive on the carrier, managed to disturb the Parisian master's degree. Cozza attempts its luck with a distant half-volley, without worrying Donnarumma, already vigilant a few moments earlier on a tap after a dangerous center in Simon (57th). The Canaries continued their efforts and, launched in depth on the right, Castelletto took his time at the entrance to the surface before arming a cross shot on the ground, which Donnarumma pushed back from a decisive and very impressive (60th) stop. Paris then reacted quickly: Doué launched Barcola on the left side, and its center found Vitinha in the surface. Going turning, the Portuguese tried his luck, but gone on on Carlgren, who prevented him from signing a double (66th). While it was believed that PSG was heading for a new success, the Canaries reserved a surprise from the chief. Following a touch on the right side, Abline transplanted in the axis before serving Augusto, launched full field. Without hesitation, the latter laid down a powerful strike from the law from the entrance to the surface, leaving Donnarumma helpless on his left (83rd, 1-1).

In additional time, GouĂ© centrament from the right for Ramos, whose head found the top of the transverse in front of a beaten carlgren (90th+2). Under pressure, Nantes folded in these last minutes against Parisian assaults. PSG, always on the attack, sought to conclude the meeting in style, and a fault of Lepenant in the midfield offered visitors a final opportunity to support their domination – but without success. Serious and applied, PSG fulfilled its mission to Nantes (despite the draw), confirming its national invincibility as the long-awaited European meeting approaches. One week to find Arsenal in the semifinals go to the Champions League, the Parisians continue their rise in power, displaying solidity and a mastery which suggests a high intensity duel on the continental scene.
