An offensive banner against AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan was deployed last night near the Bluenergy stadium by Udinese supporters, two days before the championship match against the Rossoneri. On the banner, you could read “Maignan man of shit”. It was removed a little later. As a reminder, the match was suspended due to racist remarks directed against the AC Milan goalkeeper in January. The northern curva had been closed. The context of this reunion is therefore quite particular. The motivation of the tifosi of the Udinese is explained by this meeting last year won (3-2) by the Rossoneri in the last minutes at Stade Frioul. During the match last January, a small group of supporters who was stated behind the French goalkeeper had made racist remarks towards him. The other fans present had not noticed what was going on.
The Ultras Frioulans accuse Maignan of having qualified the whole northern racist curve and of having thus generalized a whole group of supporters.
