Paris Saint-Germain continued its crazy series. Traveling to Saint-Etienne on Saturday, on behalf of the 27e Ligue 1 day, the capital's club took one more step towards the title of champion of France by crushing the Greens (1-6).

Unbeaten in the league this season, PSG of Luis Enrique chained a 38 games outside in Ligue 1 without defeat (30 victories, 8 draws), as Opta reports. They thus equal the longest invincibility on the move of the five major European championships.

At the top of the hierarchy we find the AC Milan of Fabio Capello, which had reached this bar of 38 matches without defeat in Serie A between 1991 and 1993. A brand that Parisians could exceed during its trip to Nantes on April 22.

Fabian Ruiz also in history

The residents of the Parc des Princes are also still in the race to become the first team to complete the French championship without the slightest defeat. For the time being, the record is held by FC Nantes de Coco Suaudeau, who had bowed in the 33e Day during the 1994-1995 season.

Note also that Fabian Ruiz has become the player displaying the longest series of invincibility in L1 since 1947-1948. With 49 meetings without loss of rank without losing since May 2023, the Spanish midfielder exceeded his teammate Marquinhos (48 matches between May 2014 and March 2016).
