Sadio Mané’s move to Bayern Munich will remain a failure. Thomas Tuchel regrets it and takes responsibility for it.
Sadio Mané should soon engage with the Al-Nassr club, with a transfer estimated at 27 million euros in favor of Bayern Munich. In Saudi Arabia, the Senegalese international will receive 40 million euros per year, or more than 3.3 million per month, nearly 770,000 euros per week and 110,000 euros per day.
Present at a press conference on Tuesday, Thomas Tuchel regretted not having been able to exploit “full potential” of his number 17. “We hugged each other. And we agreed that we didn’t like the current situation, but that it was the best solution for both parties. I completely understand that he feels hurt. I don’t feel happy either. We have not exploited its full potential, and I take responsibility for that,” confided the 49-year-old German technician.

Arriving in Bavaria with international star status, Sadio Mané did not live up to expectations for his first (and surely only) season in the Bundesliga. Between poor performances and injuries, he never managed to compensate for the departure of Robert Lewandowski. The former Metz player scored 12 goals in 38 appearances for Bayern. “Leaving Bayern hurts me”, he confided to SkyGermany.
