Assistant to Jorge Sampaoli in Marseille (2021-2022), Pablo Fernandez was fired by Flamengo (Brazilian D1) for a new bout of violence … against one of his players.

Do not look too much Pablo Fernandez. The physical trainer from Flamengo (Brazil) trained by Argentinian Jorge Sampaoli, former OM (2021-2022), obviously has a tendency to get carried away by using his fists rather than the verb.

This is what happened on Sunday during Flamengo’s victory on the lawn of Atlético Mineiro (1-2 – 17th day of Brazilian D1). Jostled by Pedro, one of the Rio de Janeiro club forwards, Pablo Fernandez punched him in the face.

Sampaoli’s assistant had criticized Pedro for stopping his warm-up. Despite the apologies of the culprit, the leaders of Flamengo dismissed the latter, indicate the Brazilian media, relaying a communication from the club.

Pablo Fernandez had already stood out in Ligue 1. During the incidents of the OGC Nice-OM match in August 2021 (3rd day), Fernandez had hit a fan from the French Riviera. A gesture for which he had been suspended.
