Losing speed in recent weeks (1 victory, 1 draw and 3 defeats in the last five championship games), the Reds therefore had a lot to do against Skyblues who remained on two wins of rank against Tottenham then against Plymouth Argyle during the 5th round of the FA Cup. Aligned in 4-3-3 with a line of attack composed of Doku, Savinho and Haaland, the Mancunians were not long in highlighting.
