A new adventure could start for William Saliba in a few months! According to RMC Sport and the Spanish media, Real Madrid, looking for a central defender, would have made the French international his priority for the summer transfer window. The Madrid management would have already started, lately, contact with the entourage of the current Arsenal defender as reported Sky Switzerland.
However, the Gunners would not be ready to let William Saliba go easily. Solid in defense alongside Gabriel, the former Stéphanois won in the London eleven. The club, aware of the potential of its player, whose contract expires in June 2027, would also like to try an extension. But the White House, weakened in defense, closely monitors the situation and did not say its last word.
A record transfer in sight?
The current market value of the ASSE player is estimated at 80 million euros but the London management would be ready to sell its defender to the tune of 100 million pounds sterling, or around 120 million euros! If Real Madrid spends this sum to attach the services of the Habs, it will then be the biggest transfer in history for a defender.
