Jude Bellingham will convince Trent Alexander-Arnold to leave Liverpool for Real Madrid, according to the former Reds midfielder Jermaine Pennant.

Liverpool's right back has exhausted his contract in Anfield and it is much expected that he will refuse a new lease to reach Real Madrid for free this summer. And Pennant has no doubt that his nearby friend Bellingham is trying to convince him to come to Santiago Bernabeu.

Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham celebrated together when the midfielder scored the first goal of England in Euro 2024 against Serbia and it is a secret that they are close. The defender told Gary Neville last year on The Overlap that Bellingham was his best friend outside his club, citing Andrew Robertson as his nearest friend in Liverpool.

Bellingham to convince Alexander-Arnold

Pennant told AS: “This is what it seems. I think he will probably go to Real Madrid to play with his best friend, Jude. I'm sure Jude intervenes a little. “Jude agent”, as they say. I'm sure they had this conversation. They are happy together, they played excellent football and I think Trent will end up in Madrid. »»

Real has become an expert in the signing of high -level players on free transfers. They convinced David Alaba to sign as a free agent in 2021 after having exhausted his contract with Bayern Munich and the following year, Antonio Rudiger did the same after the expiration of his lease with Chelsea. Real managed the biggest free transfer by bringing Kylian Mbappé last year, although they had to pay the French star a signature allowance of 128 million pounds sterling. Alexander-Arnold could not touch the same type of remuneration as Mbappé, but he could nevertheless receive a large personal windfall in exchange for his arrival at the 15 times European champions.
