Marcus Rashford is experiencing a turbulent start to 2025. Left out of the Manchester United group by Rúben Amorim, the English striker should however find a new team shortly. But while nothing is official yet, the 27-year-old was forced to speak on Instagramexplaining that he had been contacted by a tabloid. He claims that a British media outlet threatened to publish a photo that would damage his image, in which he was seen alongside Jake Fahri, a rapper known as TEN, who was guilty of the murder of Jimmy Mizen, a high school student aged 16, in May 2008.

I was contacted today by a tabloid informing me of their intention to publish a photo of me with a rapper, apparently taken over a year ago. I would like to clarify that I have never seen this photo, I do not know this person and I am not friends with them. Like most footballers, if someone asks me for a photo, I never refuse, but it is obviously impossible for me to check the background of each person who asks me for a photo. I ask the tabloids, rather than focusing on me, to use their platforms to raise awareness of the many associations and individuals who, every day across the UK, work to combat knife crime to prevent further tragic losses. My deepest thoughts are with the family of Jimmy Mizen. »
