After publishing a first extract from his interview with John Textor, RMC Sport suggested an explosive interview from the American boss of Olympique Lyonnais. And as expected, the rest of the interview did not lack spice. Still framed by the restrictions of the DNCG, Textor first began his show by assuring that OL would not go to Ligue 2. “One thing is certain, we will not go down”. Then, the American reacted to the dirty talk offense of which he believes he has been a victim since his arrival in France.

PSG accused of being outlawed

“I’m not a genius, but not a danger either. It’s funny to compare myself to DaGrosa (the former buyer of Bordeaux) because he is American. That’s why you’re making the joke, right? Since I arrived, I’ve been compared to DaGrosa and I don’t want that. Bordeaux was not solvent two years before relegation. » Once this clarification was made, Textor once again set about destroying one of his favorite targets: Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. In the extract published by RMC Sport a few hours earlier, the OL boss confirmed that his relationship with the PSG boss was more than bad. There, Textor took a step forward in his criticism. At a time when his multi-ownership model is being strongly criticized in the world of football, the American has flatly accused the PSG QSI version of being illegal.

“I want to be clear. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi tells everyone that he is helping French football. (…) He has this idea that he has the richest club in the country and that the crumbs he drops are help for French football. It’s totally crazy to think that. I invite him to follow European law and stop with these clubs which have unlimited funding from foreign states while all the other French clubs compete with their own funds. (…) I don’t understand why there aren’t more reactions in France, with all the respect I have for you. This is a violation of the laws. (…) PSG money which comes from a foreign state, which illegally subsidizes a private business, and which distorts sporting interest. It’s illegal! The DNCG and the League accept this violation of European laws. So PSG can kick our butts on the pitch every year. » And it wasn’t over.

“The president of the LFP was there, sitting like a little dog”

After Al-Khelaïfi and PSG, John Textor attacked the authorities that run French football. Because two things visibly marked the Rhone boss. First of all, the TV rights drama and the management of this file orchestrated by the much criticized Vincent Labrune. “I was completely shocked because when we talked about TV rights, the president of the LFP, who was supposed to manage that, said nothing. It was Nasser who led the debates even though he should not have been present as president of a channel. If there was a discordant voice, Nasser would bark at that person. There was a lot of intimidation. The president of the LFP was there, sitting like a little dog. The League is dominated pretty crazy by this person. »

Finally, Textor is still having trouble digesting his appearances before the DNCG. The American accuses certain members of the French football police of having leaked important information while OL had not yet finished their oral examination. “I think that the DNCG should not be managed by the LFP. Emails from DNCG people are hosted by the League. During our visit (in front of the DNCG), there was still an hour of presentation left and rumors of relegation were already leaking. We cannot say that there are no links between the League and the DNCG. » is now testing how the League, Labrune and the DNCG will react to this explosive interview which should cause a lot of noise.
