Despite Liverpool’s big victory against Tottenham (6-3) this Sunday in the Premier League, Mohamed Salah found things to complain about. The Egyptian left winger (15 goals, 11 assists, 16 matches), author of a double and two assists against Spurs, was satisfied with the offensive realism of the Reds.
The spearhead of the Liverpool attack, however, pointed out the defensive porosity of his team. Note that the latter has conceded at least one goal in each of its last three meetings.
Salah is worried
“Records? I just keep working hard. We were pretty good offensively today. But, defensively, we need to improve as a team. It’s difficult to concede three goals. Virgil Van Dijk will talk about it better than me”declared the number 11 of the LFC at the microphone of
SkySports.
With four points ahead and a match behind their runner-up, Chelsea, Salah and Liverpool are now preparing to host Leicester for Boxing Day this Thursday. They will then close their 2024 year with a trip to West Ham on Sunday.
