Despite qualifying for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France, Meunier does not mince his words on the latest copy of LOSC.

This Friday, LOSC won by the smallest of margins against Rouen (1-0) in the 32nd final of the Coupe de France. This minimalist success did not satisfy everyone, starting with Thomas Meunier, one of the executives of the Lille locker room.

At the microphone of beIN Sports, the Belgian right-back did not hide his frustration after the meeting. For the former Parisian, the Mastiffs completely missed the second half, when they could have folded the match with a big score.

Meunier castigates his team

“I might be exaggerating a little bit, but if it’s 0-6, it’s entirely plausible. But until the end we scare each other, the second period was catastrophic. We can be satisfied with the qualification but… The first half was quite good but we cannot show this face in the second half”he analyzed.

“I find it quite unfortunate that we could put ourselves in such a difficult situation since they had one or two opportunities which could have led to an equalizer. The qualification is there, that’s all we will remember”added Meunier.
