Literally disfigured. The right side of his face lacerated by Wilfried Singo’s crampons, Gianluigi Donnarumma had to leave the field in the 22nde minute of play of the advanced shock of the 16e day of Ligue 1 between Monaco and Paris, this Wednesday evening at Louis-II.

The Monegasque defender misjudged the Parisian goalkeeper’s exit against him after trying to find the fault in an off-center position. And if the clumsiness can be easily pleaded, the gesture nonetheless remains extremely dangerous, with serious consequences.

No sanction for Singo

Replaced by Matvey Safonov, Gianluigi Donnarumma had to be taken to hospital to dress his wounds and rule out the possibility of a concussion. Wilfried Singo remained on the field, to the great dismay of the PSG staff.

Warned from 14e minute, the Ivorian international could have received a direct red card given the seriousness of the injury of the last Parisian rampart, he finally escaped the slightest sanction. A small miracle for the ASM.
