PSG found a smile again in Ligue 1 thanks to a victory against Lyon. The opportunity for Vitinha to discuss the importance of Doué within the Parisian team.

Paris Saint-Germain restarted the machine in Ligue 1 this Sunday with a victory against Olympique Lyonnais (3-1). The French champions, who remained in two disappointing draws against Nantes (1-1) and Auxerre (0-0), were able to count on goals from Ousmane Dembélé, Vitinha and Gonçalo Ramos to pocket the three points.

At the final whistle, Vitinha was satisfied with his team’s collective performance. “It feels good to find victory in front of our supporters, we have to continue. The last five games against Lyon, we were superior throughout the match, so we expected that. Olympique Lyonnais is a great team too, we expected a difficult match but we did everything to make it easy. We didn’t finish the first half well after Lyon’s goal, the key was to get in well in the second half and score. It’s a good victory against a good team.” commented the Portuguese international for DAZN.

Désiré Doué does it again

Vitinha also appreciated the performance of his young teammate Désiré Doué. In line with his excellent performance against Salzburg (3-0) in the Champions League last Tuesday, the young French left winger, who arrived this summer from Rennes, once again shone against Les Gones. He was decisive in several actions, notably offering the pass for Dembélé’s opener and causing the penalty converted by the boss of the Parisian midfield.

“We are happy for Désiré. It was an exhibition match (sic) for him. It helps the team. Having players who don’t play much do things like that will take us far,” added the native of Vila das Aves.
