Brighton receives a heavy sanction

Currently seventh in the Premier League with three points behind the top 4, Brighton is having a good season and maintaining its momentum of recent years. If everything is going ideally for the moment on the Seagulls side, they have nevertheless received a sanction from the Premier League.

According to The AthleticBrighton were fined 20,000 pounds (25,000 euros) for breaching regulations on young players. The Seagulls are also prohibited from registering for 6 months (with one year suspended) an academy player currently or previously registered with another club. Brighton are guilty of contacting young players to strengthen their academy before their contract with their previous club ends.
