Patrick Vieira’s Genoa locked in its first victory this Sunday, against Udinese (0-2), during the 14th day of Serie A. After the meeting which took place on the pitch at the Stadio Friuli, the French coach analyzed this match and especially talked about the former Marseille striker Vitinha, who returned from injury this Sunday, but also about Mario Balotelli who came on and played several minutes at the end of the match. The two goalscorers who passed through Ligue 1 are indeed part of the former Crystal Palace coach’s plans but they will have to chomp on the brakes a little longer:
“I think we did well what we prepared in training. The reds certainly changed the game a bit, but we continued to do as well as we thought we would during the week. For now, the players seen against Cagliari are those I consider the most ready. Vitinha is coming back from injury and we will give him time. I think Zanoli and Miretti also work well defensively, the substitutes have brought energy to the team. Balotelli played around fifteen minutes, he worked well and he must continue like this. Mario, like Vitinha, must continue to work, I am happy with him»
