After its defeat in the Champions League against Bayern Munich (1-0), PSG had to relaunch this Saturday evening in Ligue 1. For the occasion, the Parisian team faced a team from FC Nantes in the midst of a crisis and which was at 16th place in the ranking. On paper, this meeting therefore seemed perfect for Parisians who were logically far superior to their opponent. Luis Enrique also decided to rotate his squad a little and tried a new animation. Ousmane Dembélé was sent to the bench while Gonçalo Ramos returned to the starting lineup for the first time since August. Kang-in Lee played the winger role on the right flank. But it was above all the Nuno Mendes-Hakimi pair who surprised by playing in the heart of the game, almost in a number 10 role. The Moroccan right-back only took one minute to shine in this match. He took advantage of a clever deflection from Gonçalo Ramos to open the scoring (1-0, 1st). A perfect start for the Parisians which confirmed the great difficulties of FC Nantes.

We then expected flawless domination from PSG in this match. This was the case in the first act since Vitinha first came up against Carlgren (10th), the Nantes goalkeeper preferred to Lafont in this match. The Swedish goalkeeper was also vigilant on Kang-in Lee’s shot which crashed into the post (22nd) or on this shot from Achraf Hakimi (24th) but also on this face-to-face against Barcola (34th). And by dint of picking in front of the goal, PSG was punished. It was the young Matthis Abline who equalized in a solo action. The former Rennes man decided to mystify a Pacho who was very little involved in the action and went to beat Donnarumma (1-1, 38th). The Italian goalkeeper conceded a fifth goal in the last 7 shots on target that he suffered with PSG. Returning from the locker room, Paris logically dominated against a valiant Nantes team. JoĂŁo Neves again came up against an impressive Carlgren (56th). Donnarumma immediately made an equally decisive save by stopping Abline’s header at point blank range (62nd). But in a one-sided end to the match, and despite the entries of Ousmane DembĂ©lĂ© and DĂ©sirĂ© DouĂ©, PSG was unable to find the fault and thus conceded a draw. A setback in Ligue 1 and at home, not dramatic, but which could allow AS Monaco to return to 4 points this Sunday in the event of a victory against OM. For FC Nantes, this point taken is valuable in the race to maintain and could give a little more confidence in an almost chaotic start to the season.
