However, this is indeed the case today, after this new victory for the Bermellones this Sunday against Rayo Vallecano (1-0), their fifth in ten matches.
If we seemed to be heading towards a draw for a long time, Kosovar striker Vedat Muriqi finally dashed Rayo’s hopes at the end of the match (75th). In the final moments, Antonio Sanchez was even denied a goal for offside. Thanks to this success, Mallorca remains in contact with Atlético, 3rd with 17 points also, but one game less. Rayo is 9th.
