At the opening of this eighth day of the Premier League, Tottenham completely turned West Ham around. Largely victorious, Ange Postecoglou’s men won (4-1) at home against the Hammers at the end of a match that was poorly started. In a packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Postecoglou’s players, who were behind, were able to react thanks to a Dejan Kulusevski who was once again very strong to win and provisionally take 6th place in the Premier League standings. For Mohammed Kudus’ West Ham – who completely lost control by being sent off five minutes from the end of the match – it’s another cold shower. Currently 14th, they could find themselves 16th by the end of this eighth day.

Feverish defensively at the start of the match, the Spurs were surprised by the sharper Hammers, who opened the scoring thanks to the untenable Mohammed Kudus, left alone at the far post (0-1, 18th). Before returning to the match through Dejan Kulusevski, a little lucky, who saw his shot being slowed down by Areola, hitting the two uprights, then finally crossing the line (1-1, 35th). Returning from the locker room, Yves Bissouma (2-1, 52nd) then Jean-Clair Todibo against his camp (3-1, 55th), allowed Tottenham to go in front before taking off. Heung-Min Son came to seal the score on the hour mark after a solo performance against poor Todibo (4-1, 60th). A clear and flawless victory for ambitious Spurs.
