Renewal operation at FC Barcelona. The extensions of Pedri (21 years old), Gavi (20 years old) and Ronald Araujo (25 years old) have become the new priority of the Catalan club. The three players will be free from any contract in less than two years, in June 2026 and Barça intends to resolve this problem this season. The final objective of the Blaugranas would be to tie its trio of managers to the club until 2030. According to Mundo Deportivothe extensions of Pedri – who is the club’s top priority – and Gavi are on track and should not be a problem to resolve for Joan Laporta.

For Ronald Araujo, this is less obvious. In a fairly complex position since his red card received against Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last year, the Uruguayan is asking himself questions. Between injuries, rumors of transfers to Bayern and criticism, the 25-year-old defender could be harder to convince than his two Spanish teammates. However, the game and the results obtained since the arrival of Hansi Flick tip the scales in favor of Barça, who want to trust their South American rock in the long term.
