Former German striker Lukas Podolski believes he knows the right center forward for Bayern Munich.
Former Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski is in favor of bringing Harry Kane to the Allianz Arena side. He believes that the Tottenham striker is the only player capable of raising the level of Munich training.
“Kane is a perfect striker for Bayern”
The 2006 and 2010 World Cup semi-finalist told Sky Germany: “For Bayern, Harry Kane is the only striker who can really help them. He’s the right age, a classic nine, and he’s scoring goals – a perfect player for Bayern.”
And when asked if he is optimistic about the transfer being finalized, Podolski replies: “I think so. When Uli Hoeness (Honorary Chairman of Bayern) makes such a statement, there is something behind it”.
Kane is, as a reminder, agreed to join Bayern. With Munich officials, he has already agreed on the personal terms of his commitment. However, his arrival is anything but complete. The price demanded by Tottenham for its player turns out to be too high for the German champions. The latter would prefer to have him free next year and bet on another center forward (Julian Alvarez?) In the meantime.
