Vincent Labrune’s salary was starting to raise eyebrows within the LFP? It will go down. After his re-election, the president of the League will see his remuneration reduced by 30%, as will that of its general director Arnaud Rouger. It was a request from the board of directors, who wanted to reduce the body’s lifestyle, and which was accepted.
“ We had the objective of a 22.5% reduction in all costs in terms of human resources, and we have a proposal from the president of the League and its general director to reduce their remuneration significantly, up to by 30%, confirms with L’Equipe Jean-Pierre Caillot, president of Reims and the L1 college. The effort that is being made is more substantial than we imagined. We asked them for 30%. They accepted it without question. And unlike his predecessors, the president renounces any parachute clause in the future, the day he leaves. This clarifies the situation a little. »
Labrune, a salary that had tripled
Vincent Labrune, who often defends himself in front of the media by asserting that he is not “a man of money”, therefore makes a gesture. However, it will retain significantly higher treatment than its predecessor. When he became president of the LFP, his salary had tripled, from 400,000 euros annually to 1.2 million euros. With the 30% drop, it is now at 900,000 euros per year. These amounts were confirmed by Vincent Labrune during his hearing before the Senate last June.
