Arriving in Paris at the start of the Canal+ era, Bruno Barbier was notably responsible for the choice of the song “Who Said I Would” by Phil Collins, which played at the Parc des Princes as the players entered the field. “One of his feats of arms was to have initiated the entrance music for Paris Saint-Germain players when he started as marketing promotion manager within a club that had recently come under the Canal+ banner”explains Bruno Fraioli, co-founder of Sport Business Club.

PSG fans also owe him the introduction of the anthem “Go West” by the Pet Shop Boys, which is played at the end of each match at the Parc des Princes. “Bruno has done a lot of things at the club where he arrived in the early 1990s like Canal+, he accompanied the development of PSG with elegance, with the Go West anthem which he initiated, the development of the newspaper and a lot of other operations,” confided Michel Denisot, former president of the Parisian club between 1991 and 1998, to The Team.
