Arsenal’s opening score against PSG, in the 6th minute of the Champions League final, was marked by a ball blocked by the arm of a Gunners player.

PSG was surprised at the start by Arsenal in the Champions League final on Saturday in Budapest. Kai Havertz escaped on the left and while Willian Pacho failed to catch him, the German striker struck hard from the left corner of the goal area to beat Matvey Safonov by aiming for his head (6th). Enough to make the London supporters present at the Puskas Arena roar with happiness.

However, this opening score is perhaps tainted by a faulty hand in the action. Marquinhos indeed cleared the ball on Leandro Trossard right in front of him. The Belgian winger countered the ball with one arm, certainly glued to his body and this allowed Havertz to escape into the Parisian camp. Trossard is also credited with the decisive pass.

Mr. Siebert, the German referee of the match, did not see the ball blocked with his arm and his video assistants did not point out a hand fault to him.

Ten minutes later, another situation angered PSG supporters since Buyako Saka, in his penalty area, missed his control and touched the ball with his arm (16th). The referee did not whistle a penalty in favor of the Rouge et Bleu, considering that there was no offensive action underway for them.
