The candidate for the presidency of Real Madrid, Enrique Riquelme, delivered his first interview to Marcain which he defended a project that he wants centered on a return to the fundamentals of the club. The Spanish businessman insists in particular on the need to “restore Real Madrid to its former values”believing that the Merengue institution must find governance closer to its members and a model that he considers today weakened by excesses of privatization and a lack of transparency.
On a sporting level, Riquelme also spoke of his ambitions to strengthen the Madrid squad upon his possible arrival as president. He particularly assured: “there will be arrivals of big names, the best players that Real Madrid needs will come”. A declaration which reflects the candidate’s desire to strike hard on the transfer market while launching a vast project to professionalize the club’s sporting structure. To be continued…
