The verdict is in. This Tuesday from 2 p.m., in Cairo (Egypt), the draw for the qualifying groups for the next African Cup of Nations took place, scheduled from June 19 to July 17, 2027 in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
The 48 nations have been divided into 12 groups of 4. The first two in each group will qualify for this CAN 2027. Note that the three host countries will participate in these qualifiers, although automatically qualified for the competition. The meetings will begin from next September.
Title holder and top seed, Morocco inherited Gabon, Niger and Lesotho. For its part, Senegal will face Mozambique, Sudan and Ethiopia, while Algeria will face Zambia, Togo and Burundi. Côte d’Ivoire was placed alongside Ghana, Gambia and Somalia.
