BL: Bayern finishes in style against Cologne, Stuttgart goes to C1, Wolfsburg plays off

This Saturday marked the end of the 63rd Bundesliga season. On this occasion, all the teams played at 3:30 p.m. in a huge multiplex of nine matches. Horrified by their 35th German championship title, Bayern Munich welcomed Cologne (14th) to the Allianz Arena. A meeting which turned into a demonstration, the Munich having corrected their opponent of the day (5-1) including a hat-trick from Harry Kane (10th, 13th, 69th). Enough to perfectly prepare for the final of the German Cup, next Saturday against Stuttgart. Sébastien Hoeness’s men (4th) traveled to Frankfurt (8th), with the objective of retaining their qualifying place in the Champions League.

In a hotly contested match, Deniz Undav’s partners were held in check in the final seconds (2-2). A result without impact for VfB, which will play in the next C1, alongside Bayern, Dortmund and RB Leipzig. Fifth in the Bundesliga, Hoffenheim will have to settle for the Europa League after their heavy defeat at Borussia Mönchengladbach (4-0). A competition that Bayer Leverkusen will also compete in, held to a draw by Hamburg (1-1). In the other matches of this final multiplex of the season in Germany, Friborg (7th) notably swept aside Leipzig (3rd) (4-1) and will compete in the qualifications for the Conference League. Dortmund (2nd) won against Werder (0-2). Union Berlin defeated Augsburg at home (4-0). At the bottom of the ranking, Wolfsburg (16th) dominated Sankt Pauli (18th) (1-3) in the “match of fear”. The Wolves will play a play-off against the 3rd in 2. Bundesliga to hope to remain in the elite of German football. Beaten by Mainz (0-2), Heidenheim finished 17th and was relegated to the second division, alongside Sankt Pauli.
