Arsenal, big controversy ahead!

Before their Champions League final against PSG, Arsenal must negotiate their final sprint in the Premier League. Which could be wrong…

Clearly, there is a strange scent around Arsenal at the end of the season. The Gunners can achieve a monumental double, by winning their first Champions League, or by offering themselves their first Premier League title since 2004. In both cases, it would be historic.

While waiting for this final against PSG on May 30 in Budapest, England is especially passionate about this final sprint between Arsenal and Manchester City, which does not lack tension. Mikel Arteta’s men still have their destiny in their hands, since this victory at West Ham (0-1), marked by this goal refused to the Hammers at the end of the match, which caused controversy. The fault on David Raya seems obvious, but so much happens on the corners in every Gunners match, which makes the referees’ mission very delicate.

Unless West Ham’s appeal is accepted, which seems impossible, Arsenal knows that it only has two matches left to win to be champion. We will therefore have to beat Burnley, 19th and already relegated, then win on the last day at Crystal Palace. And it’s this London derby that’s causing a lot of talk at the moment.

Arsenal, Crystal Palace, and the clause that is making people talk…

The reason? This clause which would appear in the transfer of Eberechi Eze, concluded last summer. It would provide a bonus of 10 million pounds for Crystal Palace in the event of Arsenal winning the title. In other words, the Eagles would have a lot to gain from losing this match against the Gunners, especially since Oliver Glasner’s men are no longer playing anything at the end of the championship. On the contrary, they will undoubtedly manage their holder’s playing time with a view to the Conference League final scheduled only three days later.

This famous clause is mentioned by numerous accounts on social networks, which very quickly sees a victory promised to Arsenal. Except that it is (for the moment) not confirmed by a traditional media. At the time of Eze’s transfer, Sky Sports mentioned an amount of 67.5 million pounds, including 7.5 million in various bonuses. If there is a title clause for Arsenal, it is clearly not £10m.
