The arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid has not yet made it possible to permanently correct the team’s offensive weaknesses… Despite its 24 goals this season in La Liga, as well as the contributions of Vinícius Jr (13 goals) and Federico Valverde (5), Real Madrid has only scored 68 goals after 33 La Liga days. A total considered insufficient in view of the club’s historical standards according to the Cadena SERand significantly lower than that of Barça over the same period (87 goals), which therefore highlights a persistent offensive imbalance.

Worse still, this trend is not new and has been established since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, without any Madrid attack having really regained this level of efficiency. The Spanish media thus recalls that Real regularly exceeded the 80 goal mark at this stage of the season, while since then, the club has fluctuated more between 59 and 71 goals. Even with Mbappé as the main offensive figure, Madrid remains below its past standards, which reignites the debate on the collective effectiveness and tactical choices of the offensive system.
