Michael Carrick has been clear about Marcus Rashford’s future. Loaned this season to FC Barcelona after being pushed out, the Manchester United striker remains in the dark, with no decision having yet been made. The Catalan club has a purchase option estimated at 30 million euros, to be exercised before June 15, but the Blaugrana would like to renegotiate the terms of the agreement, which does not please the Mancunians. Despite his loan, Rashford does not rule out a return to Old Trafford, where he has two years of contract remaining.
For his part, Carrick insisted that the matter had not yet been decided. “Whoever is here, I want to work with them and help them improve. For the moment, this is the squad. There are obviously players on loan, and we’ll see what happens next. But of course, as a coach and leader of a team, we want to get the best out of everyone.”he blurted. Between a possible permanent transfer to Spain, a return to England or even a new destination, all options remain open for the 28-year-old England international.
