West Ham United have once again rejected Flamengo’s offer for Lucas Paqueta. The London club refused a proposal of 38 million euros plus 4 million bonuses according to The Athleticwell above the first offer of 35 million received a little earlier. West Ham, which is struggling to stay in the Premier League, is demanding around 60 million euros to let its Brazilian midfielder, under contract until June 2027, leave. Paqueta, sidelined from some recent matches due to a back injury, has played 19 games this season, scoring 5 goals and providing an assist.
Despite recurring interest from European clubs, notably Aston Villa and Manchester City in the past, Paqueta remains a key player for West Ham, who are counting on him to maintain their position. The Brazilian international has asked not to play certain matches, including the FA Cup against QPR, but the club insists on keeping him as long as the race for retention remains crucial. Flamengo, for its part, could attempt a new assault during the summer transfer window.
