After ending his collaboration with Xabi Alonso to everyone’s surprise on Monday evening, Real Madrid urgently appointed Álvaro Arbeloa to succeed him. Without specifying whether it was a short-term mission, the ex-Castilla manager will therefore discover his first major experience from this Tuesday. An appointment which, however, does not prevent the Madrid management from moving forward behind the scenes to complete the arrival of a more valuable name, as we explained.
Florentino Pérez has already ticked off a name to take the reins of the team in the longer term, and not the least: Jürgen Klopp (58 years old) and Enzo Maresca (45 years old). Asked about this possibility, the German technician assured that “this absolutely does not concern him and did not concern me at all”said the director of global football at Red Bull, on ServusTVspecifying that “the coaching market is changing, and it’s not so bad to experience it all from the perspective of an observer, without worrying about what it might mean for yourself”he said, showing regret for Xabi Alonso, whom he judges to be a great coach.
