Didier Deschamps’ troop now knows where it will set foot in June. Indeed, The Team indicated this Friday that the FFF had commissioned Jean-Luc Vannuchi, coach of the national U19s, to supervise the most interesting matches. The objective is to be one step ahead of the adversary, and to have well-established strategies against them. The Lions of Teranga, winner of the CAN, are obviously one of them. Guy Stéphan, the assistant to the French coach, also noted: “we have all the data on the Senegal game, the racing speeds, the areas covered. This will be refined in June, with a video montage which will finally be shown to the group on the morning of the match”he detailed as usual.

Before adding this: “For the players, it’s still a long way off. There will be observers sent to watch our opponents’ matches in March.”. The recent winners of the African Cup of Nations in Morocco are therefore under the vigilant observation of the French team staff. Furthermore, the source also indicates that the power and technical mastery displayed throughout the competition remain the basics to take into account during their confrontation which is fast approaching (June 16 at 9 p.m. in New Jersey). Mentality, individual quality and play without the ball also remain elements to highlight on the African side.
